Start & Finish

From the Stadium

The new route will start outside the main entrance to the Cape Town Stadium on Fritz Sonnenberg Road, just outside McDonalds. The 21km, 10km and 5km races will all start here, with the 21km race kicking off at 7am. Runners will proceed down Fritz Sonnenberg towards the ocean.

To Green Point Park

For the first time, all races will finish at the amphitheatre of the new Green Point Park. This new finish offers spectacular views of the golf course and stadium and offers plenty of space for all runners and supporters to soak up the atmosphere and great entertainment at the end of the race. 21km runners will approach the park from Bill Peters Drive, passing The Point Virgin Active and entering the park through the south gate, before turning left onto the finishing straight.

Water Tables

Water Tables

For the half marathon, water stations will be located approximately at 3km intervals. All tables will offer water and every second table will offer Coke. Over 80,000 water sachets will be ordered for race day to keep our runners sufficiently hydrated. Water table stations will also be competing for a ‘best table’ prize, so expect to see stations full of colour, vibe and festivity! First Aid

First Aid

Our race doctor and race paramedics will be on hand to handle any medical incidents. Two ambulances, one response vehicle and seven paramedics will patrol the route and a medical tent will be available at the finish area.
